My passion for helping people have the most peaceful and sacred final transition started organically as I supported loved ones at the end of their lives. I came to realize that we have a lot of fear and denial around death and not a lot of resources to provide education and comfort in this most delicate time.
I began my journey into death work after suffering personal losses and realizing my own lack of knowledge about death and dying. I trained with Lifespan Doula Alliance in Ann Arbor, Michigan in 2019. After working with families as a death doula for a few years, I wanted a more scientific understanding of death, dying, and grief. In August of 2025 I completed my Master of Science in Thanatology Degree from Marian University in Wisconsin. My thesis and capstone project focused on the impact of community death education as a public health initiative. I am passionate about demystifying death and increasing death and grief literacy through compassionate education. Everyone deserves a sacred transition from life to death that is surrounded by peace and comfort.
